FAQ

In the menu below you will find frequently asked questions and answers on the purchase of login code(s) and the operation of the GPI. If you are not sure which GPI you need, please contact your client or employer. If your question is not listed, please contact us.

GPI stands for General Site Safety Instructions (GPI). On this website you can take 3 GPIs: the GPI B&U (for residential and non-residential building sites), the GPI Infra (for groundwork, road, rail and hydraulic engineering) and the GPI Installation (for installers and engineers working on B&U, Infra Projects and projects for existing construction).

The GPI is compulsary since1 April 2019. From that date, all (temporary) employees of subcontractors and suppliers who carry out work on the construction site (after passing the safety instruction board) must have their GPI for all projects in order to gain access to the construction site. At the gate it is checked whether an employee is in possession of the certificate of the required GPI
(B & U, Infra, Installation).

If you only come to visit (always under supervision), you do not have to follow the GPI. It is advisable, in addition to following the instructions of your supervisor, to then preview the 'Safety film for visitor construction site' on the safety risks and safety rules on the construction site. You can find this film on the homepage of this website. You may be asked to sign a form stating that you have seen the Security film visitor building site.

The GPI is compulsary upon delivery at the construction site or traffic depostion (behind the sign with the safety instruction). The GPI is not obligatory when delivered outside the fence of the construction site.

Yes. Everyone who performs work (short- or long-term) on a construction site must have a GPI certificate. Delivering goods, loading and unloading are also (risky) activities. In addition, many incidents such as collision occur. Everyone must contribute to improving the safety culture. Which GPI needs to be done depends on the construction site where you first or most come. Construction companies will always accept that. The GPI Installation is the most comprehensive GPI aimed at all types of construction sites. If in doubt about which GPI we recommend to do the GPI Installation.
